Ansitz Heufler

Ansitz Heufler, which is an inn, bar, and restaurant, is located in the village of Rasun (in German) or Anterselva (in Italian). It is a 16th-century manor house, recently taken over by one of Italy's best chefs, Norbert Niederkopfler, whose culinary motto is “Cook the mountain.” This imposing building houses 10 rooms, a bar, and a restaurant, spaces where all the original features, paneling, frescoes, and carved woodwork have been carefully restored, and in which contemporary furniture provides a relevant counterpoint. Nothing is excessive or superfluous, yet nothing is missing to make this place the ideal refuge after a day spent in the mountains. Whether in the rooms, at the bar, located in the former smoking room with its blackened walls, or in the fully panelled restaurant, everything expresses the essence and identity of this region, with just the right touch of modernity. The same spirit is reflected in the cuisine, which generously offers South Tyrolean classics, with a special mention for the breakfast, which is simply extraordinary.
