In Porto's former Jewish quarter, a building saved from ruin has been given a new lease of life after five years of renovation. Seven bright apartments, subtly designed and respectful of the site's history, now offer breathtaking views of the city.

It certainly took a touch of madness to tackle such a project. Bringing life and meaning back to this completely dilapidated building in Porto's old Jewish quarter required two years of planning and research, followed by almost three years of work. Today, there are 7 fully equipped apartments with a perfectly refined atmosphere, decorated in subtle powdery tones and highlighted by original features (doors, shutters, stucco) that have been salvaged and refurbished. The whole space is very bright and offers some truly breathtaking views of the city.

3 good reasons to go

  1. for the quality of this incredible renovation
  2. to experience Porto at its heart
  3. to explore and travel up the Douro River
Price

7 apartments, starting at €212 per night, for 2 to 5 people depending on the floor area (minimum stay of 2 nights)

To get there by train?

Porto can be reached by train from Paris, via Hendaye and Vigo or Coimbra; the journey takes between 14 and 16 hours, depending on connections.
