In an old wine cellar in Saint-Florent, Coline and Matthieu have created a rare place, between clean lines and Mediterranean shadows. Basgi Basgi, or the promise of a return, a place that resonates like a manifesto of hospitality, creativity, and commitment.
When you say goodbye in Corsica, with the promise of seeing each other again, and above all with a mark of indelible affection, you say Basgi Basgi (pronounced “Baji Baji”). This is undoubtedly what Coline and Matthieu hope for: to see their guests again. So, with the help of architect Marie Tomasini, interior designer Lea Ueshima, and consulting firm Knoho Studio, they have transformed this old wine cellar on the outskirts of Saint-Florent into a truly unique and special place. The light in Nebbiu doesn't dance quite like it does elsewhere, seeming to bounce off the flat surfaces, the curves of a lamp, the diagonally striped floors, the woodwork, and the pine trees in the garden. The inspirations are many, but clearly Mediterranean, even when they seem to look to the Caribbean. The desire to be as responsible as possible is genuine, both in the choice of materials and in everyday actions, particularly at La Table, led by Antonin Bergoin-Graziani and conceived by chef Anthony Deront.
