Delvers Duinhuis

Chez
Koen Grun & Linda Grün-Ranzijn

In Egmond, between the dunes and the North Sea, this light-filled contemporary house combines Dutch design, a fireplace, a sauna, and a beach accessible by bike. A simple and elegant retreat, designed for both summer and winter.

North of Haarlem. The dunes, the sea, a small town, Egmond, which overlooks both the sea and the countryside, and this pretty contemporary house. Here, summer and winter alike, there is light, the kind that only the Dutch seem to know how to capture, and gentleness. Linen bedding, simple designer furniture (Piet Hein Eek, for example), a fireplace inside and a brazier outside, a Finnish sauna, the beach, of course, within walking or cycling distance... and an insider's city guide with the owners' favorite places in the area.

3 good reasons to go

  1. for long walks on an absolutely stunning beach
  2. for the Dutch ability to capture light and diffuse it throughout their interiors
  3. for long bike rides
