La Butte
Chez
Solène & Nicolas Conraux
La Butte, a unique place where everything has a meaning. A family-run hotel for 70 years, redesigned to promote committed gastronomy, well-being, and respect for life. Rooms with a view, restaurants, spa, bakery... A virtuous ecosystem that reinvents responsible hospitality.
Head to La Butte and find everything you could possibly want. Absolutely everything you desire and actually need, even without knowing it. La Butte is a legendary hotel that has been in Solène's family for 70 years (her grandmother ran a grocery store, dance hall, and working-class restaurant there, while her father added rooms and took it in a more gourmet direction), and it has recently been completely redesigned. Two restaurants, including a gourmet restaurant, a spa (which will be completely renovated in 2025)... and above all, an eco-responsible commitment that is evident everywhere, down to the smallest details. Including (and especially) in the kitchen, where Nicolas pushes his commitment as far as he possibly can. La Butte is now a complete and perfectly coherent ecosystem that shows the way forward for responsible luxury hospitality. The couple bought the village bakery and forged lasting links with local artisans. Add to that the landscape, the ocean, the fresh air, and direct contact with nature, which make this approach even more relevant.
3 good reasons to go
- to explore the surrounding area and the beautiful coastline of northern Finistère. Rent bikes (the hotel reception will give you the contact details), pick up a picnic from La Butte bakery to enjoy on the beach
- the chocolate kouign-amann is delicious — and stop for a drink on the terrace of the Café du Port in Plonéour-Brigognan Plages before heading off to discover Menehan, an old hamlet of customs officers and then fishermen, nestled among the rocks of the Côte des Légendes...— for its cuisine, which focuses mainly on fermentation, minimizing cooking and promoting digestion
- for the family spirit that reigns here. Despite the isolation, the staff is totally committed to the project, and you can feel it everywhere, all the time
