A stone's throw from Brouage, Hanh and Antoine have created an organic agroforestry farm and renovated five bright cottages in 18th-century outbuildings. Here, you can sleep well, eat healthily, and pick vegetables and herbs in the heart of 4 hectares of carefully cultivated land.
This is first and foremost a market garden. Launched in 2019, the project was ambitious: organic farming (intensive on small areas) and agroforestry (a total of 2,000 trees and shrubs planted), starting from scratch (on 4 hectares of uncultivated grassland). And as if that weren't enough, Hanh and Antoine designed five bright and airy cottages in the former 18th-century outbuildings. Lime, wood, clay, hemp, and XXL bay windows: at the Ferme de Brouage, each house has a fully equipped living room, one or more bedrooms for two, and dorm-style rooms for kids. Kids can discover how the vegetables you try so hard to get them to eat are grown... In the warmer months (April to October), you have unlimited access to the harvest, vegetables, fruit, and herbs. Everything you need to cook up something delicious, healthy, and organic. A winning combination.
