La Ferme du Pont de Maumy

Chez
Aline & Axel

In the Périgord Vert region, a burnt wood house facing a pond in the heart of a 6-hectare estate reinvents the ideal cabin. Mix & match decor, eco-responsibility, and as only neighbors: woods, meadows, and hosts Aline and Alex.

This is a house that has everything you could dream of in a vacation home. Built with the utmost respect for eco-friendly principles, using burnt wood, offering views of a pond, with only one neighbor—the farm belonging to the hosts, Aline and Alex—in the heart of a 6-hectare estate of woods and meadows... And in terms of decor, it's a mix and match that seems to have been put together with almost disconcerting naturalness. A kilim rug for a Wild West influence, turned wooden chairs for a Quaker influence, an anatomical chart and an old yellowed framed photo, a worn paddle and a vinyl record player... This is the reinvented refuge cabin in the heart of the Périgord Vert, the kind of place you never want to leave.

3 good reasons to go

  1. because the estate is also a farm, and you can buy fruit and vegetables in season
  2. because this green Périgord is less popular than the black Périgord, but just as enchanting
  3. because listening to a good blues record while watching nature from the porch, wrapped in a blanket, is not bad at all.
Price

Cabin for 2 (but can accommodate 2 additional guests, children, on a sofa bed) starting at €135
