Abandoned and then reinvented by Thomas, La Ferme du Voyageur combines eco-friendly construction (lime, hemp, cork, solar panels) with memories from far away. Rooms named Alaska, Tibet, India, and Switzerland feature furniture and fabrics from around the world for a bohemian and free-spirited style.
For a long time, this house remained abandoned, as if forgotten. Upon returning from India, Thomas brought it back to life. He did so in the most eco-conscious way possible: lime, hemp, and cork for the walls and insulation, little to no concrete, and solar panels for energy. In the bedrooms, he makes pointed references to the (rather distant) countries or regions where he loved to ski: Alaska, Afghanistan, Tibet, India (where he lived for 15 years!), and Switzerland too. Memories, objects, furniture, fabrics—all of these often come from far away and give La Ferme du Voyageur a decidedly bohemian spirit, free above all, liberated in reality.
