La Manufacture Royale de Lectoure

Christèle Ageorges, a long-time interior designer for glossy magazines, turned this former tannery in the Gers region, a former royal factory built in the mid-18th century by Pierre Racine, into a dream. It was a long-term dream, as it took three years of work to bring this long-abandoned complex back to life. At La Manufacture Royale de Lectoure, one wing now houses a pilgrim lodge (we are on the Way of St. James) with four rooms (two, three, or four beds), another wing houses a house that can be rented for up to 15 people, and another wing has five guest rooms with views of the Pyrenees to the south. Walls whitewashed in subtle, soft tones inspired by the surrounding nature (powder pink echoes the color of the sky on certain mornings), panoramic wallpaper, resolutely contemporary furniture… Everything is so well thought out that each element of the decor seems to have found its rightful place in this setting.
