Maison Magda

Chez
Claire Dolmaire

Wine lovers are familiar with the Côte Roannaise, a young AOC (30 years old in 2024) in the Loire Valley. Lovers of fine dining know the Troigros family... But there is even more to discover around Maison Magda.

Forests, vineyards, the plain (from Roanne to Saint-Etienne), the heart of a triangle with Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand, and Vichy. Maison Magda, or rather, Maisons Magda, since there are actually two houses, plus the owner's home. Here, you can sense Claire's careers as a photographer and architect, who has found the perfect playground. The whites are perfectly matte, the woods subtly light, the colors elegantly powdered, the furniture precisely sourced. The inspirations are clear: Perriand (Charlotte) and O'Keeffe (Georgia). It's bright, fresh, rural, refined, and perfectly in tune with the times. Add to that the view of the Monts de la Madeleine, an orchard and a permaculture vegetable garden, and a digital guide with all the best spots to discover in a region that is too little known, and you know it's all good!

3 good reasons to go

  1. because this little-known region is well worth discovering
  2. because some houses have extra soul, and this is one of them
  3. because Troisgros is just a stone's throw away... and that alone makes it worth the trip!
Price

2 houses for 2 to 3 people, starting at €120 per night
