Villa Flaka
Chez
Emeline & Théo Frimigacci
A stone's throw from Cargèse, a piece of wasteland in the heart of the maquis becomes Villa Flaka: 15 XXL rooms, swimming pool, DJ booth, yoga, permaculture vegetable garden, culinary festival... A hybrid place, the waking dream of a couple inspired by their travels.
Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of luck — provided you seize it with the necessary courage. A plot of land with the foundations of what could have been an apartment building, abandoned for some fifteen years, in the heart of the maquis, a short drive from Cargèse, needed to be brought back to life: the opportunity to make a dream come true. They decided to keep the foundations, build around them, design two buildings with fifteen XXL rooms, install a swimming lane to connect them, and sprinkle here and there, like little winks for insiders, the things they enjoyed during their many travels, distilling, here again, her passion: music. A former DJ, she created playlists for Villa Flaka (which can also be found on the website) and placed turntables and vinyl records in some of the rooms. They love gastronomy, so they created a culinary festival in July and invited chefs to participate. Add to that a room dedicated to yoga, regular gong baths, the sea within sight, sustainable energy and water management, a permaculture vegetable garden (for breakfast)... Enough to give you a whole new perspective on western Corsica.
