De Weide Wereld

Chez
Petra Deketelaere & Bruno Vanhoecke

Petra and Bruno welcome travelers to their riverside home on the outskirts of Bruges, near Beverhoutsveld. Adventurers at heart, they have created De Weide Wereld as a haven for sharing and escape, with inspiring décor, travel books, and local organic cuisine.

Petra and Bruno, the owners of this charming house nestled on the banks of a river, on the edge of a nature reserve, the Beverhoutsveld, and on the outskirts of Bruges (you can get there by bike through the fields, barely 6 miles on flat ground!), are seasoned travelers, backpackers who love nothing more than exploring new places and sharing their experiences. So, naturally, De Weide Wereld is an ode to a change of scenery, from the decor of the three bedrooms to the books available in the living room library. Here, everything is organic and local, yet open to the world. An oxymoron that does a world of good!

3 good reasons to go

  • because in this house, everything is shared, especially good tips for discovering Bruges off the beaten track
  • because traveling is a state of mind, and that also means being welcomed
  • because here, everything is homemade, including the bread!
