Hôtel Bellevue

Arriving in Bréhat, whether you are an islander by birth, by heart, by adoption, or just passing through, always promises a change of scenery with ever-changing skies, a place caressed by westerly winds, sometimes northerly winds, a place where the colors of the sea, granite (pink), ceanothus and agapanthus, camellias and climbing roses are mixed, a place where the first house you see is this hotel. A family guesthouse for 120 years, a family (adopted Bréhatines for ages) has just given it a new lease of life. Jean-Louis, the grandfather, Aurélie, one of his daughters, and Louise, one of his granddaughters and niece of the latter (are you following?), have joined forces and, with the help of the Wunder architectural firm and scenographer Arnaud de Matteis, supported by chef William Langlet, created a resolutely family-oriented hotel (the only hotel in Bréhat) that would also be the beating heart of an island with barely more than 400 inhabitants when the second homes are empty. The challenge is daunting, with the decor chosen to complement the natural surroundings, collaborations firmly rooted in the local community, and ambitious intentions.
