La Brise du Large, Maison d'Ault

A cliff and, on its side, next to pretty brick villas that tell of a somewhat notable, somewhat lively, somewhat arty past of this seaside resort, a sober 1930s house with a white and gray facade. At Brise du Large, Maison d'Ault, the focus is on the natural setting and the view of the English Channel (Ault is not officially in the Baie de Somme, but is located in the Baie de Somme Regional Nature Park). And rightly so! The eye is constantly drawn away, thoughts escape more easily in this almost immaculate interior where simplicity serves as a backdrop. All that matters then is the breeze that enters through an open window and gives us a new lease of life. Alone or almost alone on the cliff with infinity as the only focal point.
