La Grande Pommeraie

Claire, a local, stumbled upon this old farmhouse more or less by chance in 2021 — the kind of love-at-first-sight you don’t overthink. She still took her time — a year to reflect, another to transform it — turning it into a home that feels less like a project and more like a place that’s truly lived in. Today, people come here in groups. Before long, the rooms fill up (there are ten, all with en-suite bathrooms), bags are dropped, the kitchen comes to life, and someone inevitably opens a bottle before even choosing a bedroom. Nothing is really planned here — and that’s exactly why it works. Some head out for a boat ride, others try their hand at paddleboarding (with varying degrees of grace), kids race off on pedal karts, while the more serious ones settle in for a game of pétanque. Or not. As for the rest, Claire knows everyone around here: caterers, activities, those small, discreet helping hands… and, if needed, she can even call in someone to organise a seminar that doesn’t feel like a seminar. Then there’s the surrounding area. Lunch at Le Shore, a trip over to Le Crotoy, a bit of wind, plenty of light — and you come back here, as if it were already home.
