Le Clos du Haut

All around are fields and hedgerows, like a painting. The houses seem to have been placed there by a landscape architect, the cows by a painter. An unchanging Normandy, just steps from Trouville and Deauville. Romain decided to return to this land, the land of his childhood, and embarked on this slightly crazy project with his wife and three children. It took three and a half years to give this half-timbered farmhouse a second chance, a second life. They did a lot of the work themselves, had to deal with unpleasant surprises and unforeseen events, and put their “whole hearts” into it. Limor designed, sourced, searched, hesitated, hunted for bargains, revamped family furniture, and brought to life her passion for divine English wallpaper by Morris & Co. Add to that a small grocery store in the back kitchen offering the best of local and organic produce, a stable with two donkeys, Bille and Kido, fruit trees galore for the sunny season, an extra-large fireplace, a wellness space set within a separate outbuilding, overlooking the surrounding countryside...
