Mas Les Vignes, L’Heure Vide

We first met them in the heart of the Perche region, where they had imagined D'une Île—which Sofie and Michel have since sold—and now we find them in the heart of another park, this time a national park, the Cévennes. Facing Mont Lozère, on the edge of a forest of oak and pine trees, stands Mas Les Vignes: an old farmhouse with slate roofs and dry stone walls, several buildings, an inner courtyard, and a swimming pool created from an old reservoir, which this talented Dutch couple has completely revamped. It's a renovation full of spirit, where everything seems to have naturally found its place. Add a perfectly and beautifully stocked grocery store and wine cellar where you can effortlessly stock up on supplies, and you'll understand that they have created the perfect combination for unwinding. This house is the first in a collection of vacation homes charmingly named L'Heure Vide (The Empty Hour): a second home has been designed in the south of the Ardèche, named Rue du Four (Baker Street).
