Mil8
Chez
Odile Leblanc
In the heart of Avoriaz, the MiL8 hotel combines avant-garde architecture and contemporary design. A warm atmosphere, family spirit, and local cuisine make this 4-star hotel one of the resort's leading establishments.
When it opened in 2020, it breathed new life into the most iconic resort in the Alps. Designed in keeping with the atypical, mimetic architecture of Avoriaz, MiL8 (named after the resort's altitude of 1,800 meters) was designed by Morzine-based architect Hervé Marullaz. Then it was the turn of interior design duo Catherine & Jérôme Clermont, from the Obermant studio, who used curves and right angles, wood and brass, concrete and steel, leather and wool to create a perfectly contemporary mountain hotel. The highlights? Successfully maintaining a family atmosphere and taking a gamble on a locavore restaurant.
