Bel Estiu

Emilie Ergoll
In the Golden Triangle of the Périgord Noir, Maison Bel Estiu combines rural charm with understated design. A tastefully redesigned 17th-century farmhouse, three bedrooms, a barn for rent, a garden with a swimming pool, and the shade of a majestic lime tree, between Sarlat and Lascaux.
This 18th-century farmhouse with a slate roof and a majestic lime tree in its courtyard has been renovated in the heart of the Périgord Noir's golden triangle, between Sarlat and Lascaux. The house, which already had three guest rooms and a ground floor for living and sharing, has been extended with a fully renovated barn that can accommodate up to four people. The codes of Maison Bel Estiu are clear: natural materials and colors, minimalism ma non troppo, chic antiques combined with a few designer pieces, faded washed linens, raw walls, worn terracotta tiles, and creaky parquet floors... To be shared between guests, and with the whole family if you privatize: fruit trees providing shade, a garden with a swimming pool and views of the countryside.
3 good reasons to go
- because this house is nestled between two iconic valleys in the Dordogne, ideal for exploring on foot, by bike, or even by canoe
- because despite the complete restoration of the premises, the house has retained its resolutely rural spirit
- because here, whatever the season, the light is sublime
3 rooms from €135 in the house (the entire house from €370 per night), and the “Grange 18” from €210.
