La Petite Maison Noire

All around, forest. An oak forest. Almost impenetrable when they first arrived. And yet it was here, and nowhere else, that she, an interior designer and co-founder of the Crème agency, and he, a designer, decided to work with architect Baptiste Manet, co-founder of Sapiens, to design and build this amazing cabin inspired by the tobacco drying barns of the Périgord region. The result is a hidden house, built on stilts to adapt to the ground, made entirely of wood, both inside and out (including the insulation), with XXL bay windows for watching the animals in the early morning and evening, who seem to forget your presence. Here, everything has been custom-designed and partly built by themselves, including the staircase carved from walnut. It's hard not to hum “Ma cabane au Canada” at La Petite Maison Noire...
