Les Grands Chênes

Chez
Nathalie Manet-Carbonnière

In the heart of a UNESCO-listed valley, Les Grands Chênes combines understated architecture with total immersion in nature. Designed by Sapiens Archi and Atelier Leymarie Gourdon, this glass house invites you to slow down, look, listen, and simply be.

Built in the heart of an oak forest in the Vézère Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this house could only serve the nature in which it wanted to be part of. A challenge perfectly met thanks to the combined talents of the architectural firms Sapiens Archi and Atelier Leymarie Gourdon. Les Grands Chênes was designed in harmony with nature to offer a happy and balanced getaway. With its ultra-simple, almost minimalist decor, the spectacle is elsewhere. It can be enjoyed through the huge glass facades, which allow guests to immerse themselves in the abundant foliage of the large oak trees in the surrounding woods. As if time were suspended, guests listen. And they watch.
