For a long time, they searched for the right spot. Then these two friends, who had met as students, stumbled upon this plot of land bordered by the Canche, a small river that ends its course in Le Touquet (and can also be quite unpredictable). Edgar and Arnold then called on Pierre Gossart's architectural firm to design two cabins at the edge of a wood. They would be made of wood, Scandinavian pine on the outside and French spruce on the inside. Edgar's partner, Camille, would design the custom-made furniture and hunt for bargains to give the two cabins their simple but strong identities. And suddenly, time slows down. Nature is let in, like a canvas through the large glass windows. You listen to the sound of water and the forest, and observe a bird here, a fox there. With four, six, eight, or ten hands, they have imagined a hideaway where you can completely disconnect from everything.
