In the Course Valley, just off the Opal Coast, a 19th-century farmhouse has been renovated into a cozy nest for passing birds.
Le Roi des Oiseaux is a small mud-brick house whitewashed with lime. Black doors, a gravel courtyard, a slightly crooked appearance that adds to its charm, and a modesty that attests to its authenticity. Around this same courtyard, in another house, live the hosts, Marion and Camille, who opened this guesthouse in 2018 to passing birds. Since then, a guest suite called “Le Roitelet” has been added. Inside: white, green, beams, opal-colored painted furniture, driftwood, a Vallée de la Course road sign dating from 1967, poetic details... And a great breakfast delivered in the morning in a wooden crate.
