Villa Anvers

Right at your feet lies Parlementia beach, a must-visit surfing spot for some, and a place to enjoy festive sunset aperitifs for others. In the distance, on the right, is the Basque coast and Villa Belza in Biarritz ; on the left is the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the Trois-Couronnes and Jaizkibel overlooking San Sebastian; between the two: simply the ocean. And on the cliff, right next to the Koskenia lighthouse, is a large house. An etxe dating from 1880, in which five 1- to 2-bedroom apartments with views have been simply furnished, without too many effects or excessive decoration, with common sense and a rather Nordic elegance. From here, from the gently sloping garden, you can stroll, on foot, from the Guéthary fronton to Madrid via Bahia Beach or the little Saint-Joseph chapel in Bidart. Unless you come to Villa Anvers on a Sunday morning for yoga, followed by brunch. From April to October, when the weather is fine, the table is set, a guest chef is invited, the oven is lit, and dinner is served.
