L'Epicurius

Chez
Quentin Le Deunff

On Rue Damiette in Rouen, a hub for antique dealers that has become a foodie hotspot, Quentin Le Deunff has been making his mark since 2019. With a refined menu, a lively wine cellar, and dishes that are rooted in Normandy yet open to the world, this is a restaurant to remember.

Before becoming the street that is now home to several charming restaurants, Rue Damiette was known for its antique shops. Between chic galleries and vintage landmarks, Quentin Le Deunff set up shop here in 2019. Ambitious but patient, he expanded a few years later and opened an additional floor, doubling the number of seats. Then, in June 2025, he opened a cooler bar on the same street, where the focus is on the cellar. Ambitious, patient, but also determined and discreet, he started out with one other person, and today there are 11 of them. Eleven, to deliver a clear and straightforward dish. A dish where you can sense that the techniques, partly acquired from local star (among others) Gilles Tournadre, are perfectly mastered. A menu that draws on the richness of the Normandy terroir, but allows itself a few clever deviations, notably that evening with a perfectly balanced Thai marinade, a delicious broccoli cream with mint, and well-balanced conchiglioni stuffed with mushrooms and artichokes.
