It's a story of family, of perfectly combined talents, and of women too. This house, a stone's throw from the Grand Mugel and Petit calanques in La Ciotat, is the latest in an astonishing collection by La Maison de Famille.
This collection of houses is mainly located in La Ciotat, where the family has been present for five generations, but also in Normandy and Venice. Dominique, the mother, is an architect, Marine, one of the daughters, is an interior designer, Camille, another, attended the Lausanne Hotel School and has a keen eye for designing spaces, Ariane, yet another, promotes Mexican craftsmanship... The result is a series of bright, intelligent, simple addresses, steeped in history. La Casa Abeille, for example, is an 18th-century mansion that has been converted into three completely independent “apartments,” one of which is on the second floor with private access to a rooftop terrace with a view! All this is complemented by a subtle blend of antique pieces, family furniture, and original features, creating a charmingly old-fashioned atmosphere, as if you were surreptitiously pushing open the door to a family home.
