Domaine de Panéry

Chez
Jacqueline & Olivier Ginon

©marielapaire

Nestled among vineyards, olive groves and wheat fields, this Provençal estate blends contemporary art, gastronomy and nature. Created by Jacqueline and Olivier Ginon, it offers a sun-drenched retreat where monumental artworks, seasonal dining and exclusive experiences come together.

Hosting guests is clearly second nature to Olivier Ginon, founder and CEO of the event-management giant GL Events. Together with his wife, he has transformed this estate — home to 12 grape varieties, four olive cultivars (Arbequina, Picholine, Koroneiki and Arbosana), truffle grounds and wheat fields still under cultivation — into a decidedly arty retreat through a partnership with the Ceysson & Bénétière gallery. Here, everything seems guided by the singular light of the South: honey-coloured stone, soaring volumes, the scent of garrigue carried on the breeze, a Madonna erected in 1898 after the phylloxera crisis, and a monumental sculpture by Bernar Venet. Add a seasonal table overseen by chef Benjamin Dellile, piano-and-vocal concerts beneath the stars or yoga sessions on full-moon evenings, and the picture becomes clear. Creating experiences, staging them and sharing them is something they do exceptionally well.

3 good reasons to go

  • for tastings of the estate’s wines and olive oils
  • for letting time drift by, gently, ever so gently, more slowly than anywhere else
  • for exploring the Uzès region, wandering its roads and villages without ever growing tired of it.
Price

20 rooms and 4 self-contained apartments (for 5 people), starting at €198 per room for 2 people.

To get there by train?

Nearest TGV stations: Avignon TGV and Nîmes–Pont-du-Gard (both around 40 km away).
