Once a hunting lodge and later a convent, Le Domaine de Pigeon was long overdue for a new life and a new name. That is exactly what Stéphane Renaud and Éric Brossard offered it by creating a house that truly has all the warmth of a home of happiness
Percherons at heart and by adoption, Stéphane Renaud and Éric Brossard had a second home just a few miles from Mortagne-au-Perche, until the desire to reinvent themselves took over. Farewell to architecture for one and industry for the other, here they are at the helm of the Hôtel Les Près. On the ground floor are the reception rooms, with their virtually untouched volumes, featuring lounges and a restaurant under a glass roof in a former colonnaded gallery. The architect has taken to the kitchen and offers home-style cooking and sharing. Upstairs are nine bedrooms, some of which are downright XXL. Some rooms overlook the countryside, while others look out onto the park, with the Hoëne River at the end. Subtle colors collide and complement each other, a few designer pieces echo the surrounding antiques, and on the nightstand lies a well-chosen book... Could this be the house of happiness in the middle of the meadows?
